Replaced By Sandiaga Uno, Wishnutama: Alhamdulillah, May Tourism Rise Soon

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has appointed former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Sandiaga Uno to become Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) replacing Wishnutama Kusubandio.

Wishnutama then congratulated Sandiaga through uploading it on the @wishnutama Instagram account. This former media boss uploaded a photo of him together with Sandiaga Uno, who smiled broadly.

"Alhamdulillah, mas @sandiuno has been chosen to replace me to become Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy," Wishnutama said in his upload, Tuesday, December 22.

He believes that under Sandiaga's leadership, tourism and the creative economy will be more advanced and better than before.

"I am sure that under the leadership of Mas Sandi, tourism and the creative economy can immediately rise and even be much better than before. Congratulations, mas @sandiuno, I hope you are always healthy and successful in bringing @ kemenparekraf.ri forward," he said.

As previously reported, Sandiaga Uno was appointed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to become Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy. Sandiaga is an elite Gerindra Party.

"Second, I want to introduce you, but we all know Mr. Sandiaga Uno. He used to be the deputy governor of DKI Jakarta, Chairman of HIPMI and now we will give him the responsibility to lead the ministry of tourism and creative economy, ”said Jokowi introducing his new minister at the Palace, Tuesday, December 22.

Sandiaga when introduced, Jokowi gave greetings by bowing himself. Sandiaga wore a blue jacket and mask.

Apart from Sandiaga, Jokowi also appointed five new ministers in their cabinet, namely Tri Risma Harini as Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos), Wahyu Sakti Trenggono as Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Budi Gunadi Sadikin as Minister of Health, Yaqut Cholil Coumas as Minister of Religion, and Muhammad Lutfi as Minister Minister of Trade.
