India Opens All Possible Excavations Of The Death Of Russian Tajir Politicians Critics Of Invasion Of The Kremlin Into Ukraine
JAKARTA - Pavel Antov's death, a wealthy Russian politician at a luxury hotel in Odisha state, India, feels different. Indian police do not want to think of this death as 'ordinary'.
India is reportedly investigating Pavel Antov's sudden death -- who and his partner criticized Ukraine's war.
Pavel Antov's body (65 years old) was found on Saturday, December 24 outside his inn. At this luxury hotel he was also on vacation with three other Russian nationals.
His death came two days after another member of his traveling group, Vladimir Bidenov, was found unconscious after suffering a heart attack at the same hotel. Vladimir Bidenov eventually died.
Police said they reviewed CCTV footage, questioned hotel staff and waited for a detailed autopsy report, but so far there were no signs of a violation.
"All possibilities related to the deaths of two Russian nationals are being verified," regional police chiefPLied Pandit was quoted as saying by Daily Sabah, Tuesday, December 27.
Bidenov's heart attack may have been caused by a drinking party and a possible drug overdose, he said.
"So far it looks like Antov accidentally fell off the terrace of the hotel," he added.
"He may have been disturbed by his friend's death and went to the terrace of the hotel and possibly fell from there."
Antov's death was announced in Russia by deputy chairman of Vladimir's Legislative Assembly, Vyacheslav Kartukhin, on Telegram.
"As a result of tragic circumstances, our colleague, a successful businessman, and philanthropist Pavel Genrihovich Antov, passed away. On behalf of the deputy of the United Russia faction, I extend my deep condolences to my family and friends."
