Israel Kandangkan 11 Jet Siluman F-35 Miliknya, Setelah Kecelakaan Pesawat Prinya Di Amerika Serikat

JAKARTA - Israel has deployed 11 of its advanced F-35 stealth fighter jets, the country's air force said, following an accident in the United States that belongs to a sea version of a particular plane, which crashed during a test flight earlier this month.

The military said fighter jets would be checked for similar issues to those causing accidents in Uncle Sam's country, and according to recommendations from the Joint F-35 Program Office.

"From the findings and information provided, it was found that these planes required special checks to rule out possible repeated damage," the Israeli military (IDF) said, citing Daily Sabah from local media Dec. 27.

Previously, an F-35B fighter jet crashed on the US Navy Base runway in Texas on December 15, during a test of ability to float. The pilot managed to eject safely and unharmed.

Israel's version of the F-35I, an F-35 fighter jet, is based on the F-35A, with conventional takeoff and landing systems. Meanwhile, Variant-B, used by the US Marine Corps and other navys, allows for short takeoffs and vertical landings on aircraft carriers.

Previously, the Israeli military had deployed an entire fleet of F-35s for a week earlier this year, due to the issue of the injector's seat.

Israel is known to agree to buy at least 50 F-35 fighter jets from Lockheed Martin through 2024, with 36 aircraft delivered so far.
