High Waves Over The Coast Of Pamekasan, BPBD: 27 Fishermen's Boats Damaged
The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that the number of fishing boats damaged by high waves and strong winds that hit the Pamekasan area in East Java (East Java) in the past week.
"As of December 27, 2022, the total number of fishing boats damaged by the large waves and strong winds has been recorded as many as 27 units," said the Head of the Pamekasan BPBD, Amin Jabir in Pamekasan, as reported by Antara.
He explained that the 27 fishing boats that were damaged were spread across two villages in Tlanakan District, Pamekasan. Each in Bandaran Village and Kramat Village.
Furthermore, he detailed, in Bandaran Village there are five boats and in Kramat Village as many as 22 boats.
"Of the five damaged boats in Bandaran Village, Tlanakan District, Pamekasan, one of them was heavily damaged while the other four were lightly damaged," he said.
Meanwhile, of the 22 damaged boats in Kramat Village, Tlanakan District, 10 of them were heavily damaged, and the remaining 12 units were lightly damaged.
"And the number of fishing boats damaged by strong winds and large waves is a temporary number, based on reports submitted by field officers to this day," he explained.
His party has reported the incident to the Regent of Pamekasan Baddrut Tamam and coordinated with the Social Service of the Pamekasan Regency Government so that boat owners can get assistance.
Currently, most fishermen in Pamekasan cannot go to sea, because of the extreme weather in the form of big waves and strong winds.
Previously this institution had released that strong winds and large waves had the potential to occur in Pamekasan waters for the next week.
The fishermen are advised to follow information on weather developments if they want to go to sea to anticipate bad things that are not cold.
