Police Keep 7 Youths From Brawling During Christmas Holidays, Samurai And Archery Children Also Confiscated
JAKARTA - A group of teenagers in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta, was arrested by the police when they were about to carry out a brawl on the 2022 Christmas Holiday, Sunday, December 25. The action of the brawlers was successfully thwarted by the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team.
Police arrested as many as seven teenagers. In addition, officers also secured various types of sharp weapons (sajam), including three sickles, samurai and arrows.
West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Samapta Kompol Arief Budiharso confirmed the arrests of seven teenagers for a brawl.
"We also secured various types of sharp weapons such as sickles, samurai to arrows," said Commissioner Arief Budiharso when confirmed, Sunday, December 25.
Furthermore, Commissioner Arief Budiharso said seven teenagers and sharp weapons who were secured were handed over to the Palmerah Police for further processing.
"We will hand them over to the Palmerah Police for further processing. We will continue to patrol on weekends or on holiday nights," he said.
Kompol Arief said routine patrols to prevent potential - potential crime that can disturb the comfort of the community, especially in the West Jakarta area.
