BPBD Asks Not To Speculate On The Finding Of An Aircraft Agency Inventory In Natuna

The Regional Disaster Management Agency of Riau Islands Province (Kepri) appealed to residents not to speculate on the findings of debris from the fuselage around Lake Sejuba Water, Sepempang Village, East Bunguran District, Natuna Regency.

Head of the Riau Islands BPBD Muhammad Hasbi in Tanjungpinang, Saturday, asked the public to be patient waiting for the results of the investigation conducted by the authorities.

"Don't spread false information on social media, because it can harm other parties. It's better if we wait for official information from the authorized institution," he said, quoting Antara.

Hasbi said the Natuna BPBD officers also helped collect the pieces of the fuselage. The fuselage of the fuselage was carried by the current until it pulled over at the Sejuba Lake Water.

Until now, he said, the Riau Islands BPBD had not received any information regarding the type of plane and the origin of the destroyed plane.

"Now the sea waves are high, the underwater currents are also strong so that the floating items can be carried to Natuna Waters," he said.

From Natuna, it was reported that the police combed the coast around Lake Sejuba Water, Sepempang Village, Natuna Regency, Riau Islands Province after the discovery of debris that was suspected to be a fuselage by local residents.

"Only one large piece approximately two meters by two meters," said Natuna Police Chief AKBP Iwan Ariyandhy.

After securing the debris, several police officers were seen combing around the beach and did not find the same type of goods along the coast of Air Lake.

The police chief also explained that the goods had been handed over to the Indonesian Air Force at Raden Sadjad Air Base on the residents' findings, for further investigation.

"We all know that Natuna is currently in the north wind season, where the weather conditions are quite extreme, this morning the community reported to members of the Sector Police that there were findings, we still suspect that we are also coordinating with the Air Base whether this is debris from a plane or something else," he said.

He only confirmed the findings by local residents, but could not conclude whether the debris was part of the plane or not.

"Later, researchers or investigations can be carried out by experts, this morning we received a report at around 8.15 WIB," he said.
