12 Crews Of Automated Automated Damaged Machines In Semarang Waters Successfully Evacuated

JATENG - The engine ship (KM) of Cahaya Harapan Hati suffered engine failure when bad weather hit the waters north of Semarang, Central Java (Central Java) on Saturday 24 in the morning. 12 of his crew were rescued by the Semarang SAR team.

Head of the Semarang SAR Office Heru Suhartanto said the rescue team was evacuated using the Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB).

He explained that the incident began when the Light Harapan Hati ship departed from Surabaya to Jakarta on Wednesday, December 21.

The ship, he continued, had experienced engine problems in the Lamongan area, East Java, but could be repaired and continued its journey.

The ship then experienced another engine problem around the wave break in northern Semarang for the second time.

"The repairs were carried out until Friday evening, December 23, in a growing wave condition," he said, quoted by Antara.

According to him, the KM Cahaya Harapan Hati crew asked for help because the water had entered the main deck.

He explained that the evacuation process was carried out one by one on the KM Cahaya Harapan Hati crew using ropes.

A total of 12 crew members of KM Cahaya Harapan Hati were then taken to Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang for health checks.
