Kabareskrim Ensures Case Of Rizieq Shihab Crowd Is Immediately Resolved

JAKARTA - The Head of Criminal Investigation of the National Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, confirmed that the three investigations of suspected cases of violating health protocols with the suspect Rizieq Shihab will be completed immediately after being taken over by investigators from Bareskrim Polri.

"Starting today, it will be handled by Bareskrim Polri and we will immediately finish it," said Sigit at a press conference at the Bareskrim Polri Building, South Jakarta, Monday, December 21.

The case that was taken was an investigation carried out by Polda Metro Jaya and Polda West Java. Namely, the alleged violation of health quarantine in Petamburan, Jakarta, Megamendung, Bogor and Ummi Bogor Hospital (RS).

For reasons of effectiveness and efficiency, Bareskrim took over two cases covering two jurisdictions of Polda. In addition, there were actors who were indicated to be almost the same in the three cases.

"To make the investigation easier and more effective, we withdraw the case to the Criminal Investigation Unit. These cases include the violation of the health process that is being held by the Polda Metro related to Petamburan, which has now been investigated, then the violation of the health program in Megamendung and Ummi Hospital which was handled by the West Java Regional Police," said Sigit.

Meanwhile, Bareskrim also took over the alleged violation of the prokes in Tangerang Regency. Currently in the process of being investigated.

"And now it has been carried out in the process of checking, while the prokes violations in the Tangerang Regency area are currently in the process of being investigated and are being processed and assisted by the Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Therefore, these 3 cases are handled starting today by the Police Criminal Investigation Unit," said Sigit.
