1,394 Joint Personnel Jointly Joint Indonesian Match Versus Cambodia At GBK, All Placed Outside Stadium
JAKARTA - Head of Operations Section of the Central Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Saufi Salamun said 1,394 personnel were deployed to secure the 2022 Indonesia versus Cambodia AFF Cup Group A match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Friday.
"It is a joint personnel including the TNI that deployed company satu or 100 troops," said Saufi, quoted by Antara, Friday.
He added that the security protocol for the match was adjusted to the Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 10 of 2022 concerning Security of the Implementation of Sports Competitions.
According to the regulations issued following the incident at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, the police will only be stationed outside the stadium.
In the field area, only civil security will come from PSSI and the manager of the Gelora Bung Karno area.
"We have adjusted to the latest Perpol and FIFA standards," said Saufi.
In addition, the police are also preparing supporting facilities such as ambulances, firefighters and several tactical vehicles to anticipate things that are not desirable.
The match between Indonesia and Cambodia, which became the first football match with spectators in Indonesia after the incident at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, will take place starting at 16.30 WIB.
According to the results of a coordination meeting with stakeholders including the National Police, PSSI only provided around 25,000 tickets for spectators who wanted to watch the match live at SUGBK.
The maximum capacity of SUGBK is in the range of 77,000 spectators.
The plan is that President Joko Widodo and Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali will watch Indonesia's match against Cambodia live.
