Voxpol Center Survey: The Public Majority Wants Ganjar Pranowo To Continue Jokowi's Program

JAKARTA - The Voxpol Center Research & Consulting survey institute wants Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo to continue the government program of Joko Widodo- Ma'ruf Amin. Voxpol noted that most Indonesians consider PDI-P politicians to be the most representative replacing Jokowi as the next president. The findings were taken from the results of the Voxpol Center survey related to evaluation of government performance from the perspective of democracy, law, economy, and actual political issues, which were released on Friday, December 23. "The public majority of respondents who are satisfied with the government's performance tend to choose Ganjar Pranowo. The electability rate for Ganjar is 25.8 percent, Anies Baswedan 25.4 percent, and Prabowo Subianto 21.1 percent. While the other candidates are below 10 percent.

On the other hand, said Pangi, strong competing figures for Ganjar in the presidential candidate exchange, namely Prabowo Subianto and Anies Rasyid Baswedan, must be more careful in taking a political stance.

"Because the composition of the two voters on the one hand wants changes, on the other hand, some of the voters also want sustainability. That means Prabowo Subianto and Anies Rasyid Baswedan must be more moderate in attitude so as not to be left behind by voters," explained Pangi. The national Voxpol Center Research & Consulting survey was conducted on November 7, 2022, involving 1,220 respondents in 34 provinces throughout Indonesia face-to-face using a questionnaire by interviewers who have been trained. Survey using the multistage random sampling method through two stages, namely systematic random sampling in choosing TPS and systematic random sampling in selecting respondents from DPT. Margin of survey error +/- 2.81 percent.
