Bareskrim Polri Has Investigated 78 Witnesses Regarding The Attack Of The FPI Laskar

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri has examined 78 witnesses behind the case of the attack of police officers by six special laskar of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). The witnesses came from all parties who were aware of the case.

"As of today, we have examined 78 witnesses and 7 experts," said Head of Criminal Investigation of the National Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to reporters, Monday, December 21.

Listyo said that the dozens of witnesses consisted of people around the scene, victim witnesses (police officers), and Jasa Marga officers. Meanwhile, for experts from Puslabfor, forensics, cyber and criminal.

"Then 37 witnesses from KM 50, 22 other witnesses who were around, then there are 4 people who are currently victim witnesses," he said.

"12 officers at the KM 50 location, 3 officers from the National Police Hospital, 2 experts from Puslabfor, 3 experts from forensics, 1 cyber expert, and 1 criminal expert," continued Listyo.

Apart from that, investigators have also analyzed the CCTV footage that was installed around the scene. In fact, to bring the case to light a reconstruction of events has been carried out.

"We analyzed and confiscated the existing CCTV. The reconstruction was carried out some time ago," said Listyo.

Previously, 6 members of the Special Laskar guarding Rizieq Shihab were shot dead by the police. They were given strict action for attacking police officers.

This firm action by the police began with a police investigation regarding the schedule for examining Rizieq Shihab. This is because the police received information that there was a mass mobilization.

But in the process of investigating by following Rizieq's movement, members of the Polda Metro Jaya were attacked.

According to the police, the attack took place on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road. The attack was started with a special army car which stopped the police car.

Then, about 10 of the special laskar attacked the members' cars using firearms (senpi) and sharp weapons (sajam). Until finally the police returned the shots. As a result, six people died at the location. Meanwhile, four other troops fled.
