Denying Supply To Russia, North Korea Tuding The US Brings Blood Spices By Sending Weapons To Ukraine

JAKARTA - North Korea's Foreign Ministry denied media reports that it was supplying ammunition to Russia, calling it "baseless", on the other hand, condemning the United States for providing lethal weapons to Ukraine, North Korea's official news agency KCNA reported on Friday.

Japan's Tokyo Shimbun reported earlier that North Korea had delivered ammunition, including artillery shells, to Russia via their border last month. Additional shipments are predicted in the coming weeks.

"Japanese media fake reports that the DPRK is offering ammunition to Russia are the least reasonable distraction, which is not worthy of commentation or interpretation," a ministry spokesman said in a statement broadcast by KCNA.

Meanwhile, the White House said on Thursday North Korea had completed deliveries of initial weapons to Russia's private military company, Wagner Group, to help strengthen Russian troops in Ukraine.

North Korea's Foreign Ministry statement did not mention the Wagner Group.

According to the White House, Wagner received deliveries of infantry rockets and missiles from North Korea, although Wagner owner Yevgeny Prigozhin denied the statement as "gossip and speculation".

"The DPRK remains unchanged in its stance with the principle of the problem of 'armed transition' between the DPRK and Russia that never happened," a North Korean spokesman said, adding that the United States was "carrying bloodshed and destruction to Ukraine by providing with various types of lethal weapons."

The DPRK is the initials of North Korea's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Separately, South Korea's Foreign Ministry said on Thursday it had been monitoring North Korean activities amid concerns over possible arms transactions with Russia.
