Bad weather hit Merak Harbor, Cilegon City, Banten, Thursday, December 22 afternoon. As a result, the loading and unloading of goods was hampered and many ships were destroyed due to the poor.

The Coordinator for Data and Information at the Serang Maritime Station, Tarjono, said that this extreme weather had occurred since December 21. Therefore, he asked to remain vigilant for ships that are active.

"Then the Central BMKG also released a few days ago the weather conditions ahead of Christmas were a bit extreme," Tarjono said in his statement, Thursday, December 22.

Based on BMKG data, Tarjono said the prediction for the high wave crossing of Merak Bakauheni was around 1.25-1.5 meters. In addition, the wind speed is considered quite strong.
