Minister Of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian: All Regional Officials Are Evaluated Every 3 Months

BANDA ACEH - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian stated that governors, regents and mayors throughout the region and Aceh in particular will be evaluated every three months in carrying out the mandate as regional head."I ask the acting governors, regents and mayors in Aceh in particular to work optimally and improve government management in order to increase regional income," said the Minister of Home Affairs in Banda Aceh, Antara, Thursday, December 22.He made this statement on the sidelines of a coordination meeting of regional leaders which was also attended by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Prof. Mahfud MD, Acting Governor of Aceh, Achmad Marzuki, Wali Nanggroe Aceh, Malik Mahmud, Chairman of Commission II of the DPR, Managing Director of PT POS, Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi and officials of regents and mayors throughout Aceh.He explained that his party had inaugurated as many as 19 regional head officials and one of them was the Acting Governor of Aceh. The number of appointed officials is one of the most regions in the country to fill the vacant position of regional head whose term of office has expired.According to him, acting governors, regents and mayors are ASNs who occupy structural positions that are not related to political parties and are not even members of political parties.Then what needs to be remembered is that those who are placed do not spend political costs and there is no burden so that in working they must be able to bring change to the region and society."I ask all regional head officials to work optimally and be able to fix and make new breakthroughs in increasing regional income," he said.Therefore, he asked all regional heads to encourage young people in the area to become entrepreneurs and facilitate them to gain access to capital and increase the MSME sector." “ Continue to seek breakthroughs and also the right patterns to revive various economic sectors, which in turn efforts to prosper the community can be realized," he said.He also emphasized that he would evaluate those who were unable to work optimally with other candidates who are currently also ready to contribute to developing the region.
