JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya confirmed that it would disperse all the crowds that occurred during the Christmas and New Year 2020 holidays. The dissolution was carried out to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
"Every time there is a crowd, we will disperse it," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, Monday, December 21.
People living outside the Jakarta area are advised not to enter DKI during Christmas and New Year. This aims to ensure that there is no transmission of COVID-19.
"We hope that the people around Jakarta will not enter Jakarta. Then the second, do not celebrate the new year on the street. So there is no convoy, no traveling," he continued.

In addition, the operating hours of public transport will also be limited. Later, public transportation will only be allowed to operate until 20.00 WIB.
