Komnas HAM Receives Details Of Events More Clearly After Receiving Family Of 6 FPI Warriors Who Were Shot

JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) said the details of the shooting incident of six Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) troops that took place on Monday, December 7 at the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road became clearer.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Komnas HAM Investigation Team Choirul Anam after a closed meeting with the families of six laskar and FPI attorneys at his office.

"Komnas HAM has received various information, statements, and legal views of families, organizations, and the team of power, which in our opinion are increasingly making details of the incident," Anam told reporters at Komnas HAM office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, December 21.

However, Anam did not provide details about the information conveyed by the family. The reason is, various statements that have been submitted from the family and their attorneys are not currently being conveyed to the public.

In general, Anam said at the meeting the six laskar families who were present conveyed several things related to the incident that occurred in the early hours of the morning and conveyed the condition of the body.

"Komnas HAM is grateful to families who are cooperative and open, willing to provide various information including commitments in several studies," he said.

Furthermore, another Komnas HAM Commissioner, Beka Ulung Hapsara, also ensured that his party would continue to commit to resolving confusion in the shooting incident independently and objectively in accordance with the authority of his institution.

Not only that, he also asked the public who knew about this case to be able to provide information to Komnas HAM.

"We hope that the general public who do have data and information as well as direct witnesses at the time of the incident can come directly to Komnas HAM," he said.

"We will try to collect this information so that it becomes valuable information to resolve this case," he added.

As previously reported, in the incident, Komnas HAM conducted investigations on a number of parties including the Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran.

In addition, this afternoon, in the context of investigating the shooting incident, Komnas HAM will visit Polda Metro Jaya to inspect the car carrying the six special FPI troops who were guarding Rizieq Shihab who was killed. There is also a reason that the investigation was not carried out at the Komnas HAM office because technically speaking, cars are difficult to bring to the Komnas HAM office.
