The 4th Day Of Flood And Longsort Terjang Cianjur, BPBD: South Line Sukanagara Can Already Be Passed

Entering the 4th day after the natural disaster of floods and landslides, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) managed to clean up an avalanche that closed the road runway in Sukanagara District, Cianjur.

The Head of BPBD Cianjur, Fatah Rizal, said that traffic activities to the south or vice versa to Cianjur have now returned to normal.

"We are coordinating with the West Java Provincial PUPR and Cianjur PUTR, to lower heavy equipment due to the height and length of the avalanche that closed the main road runway, not only at one point but four landslides accompanied by floods," he said in Cianjur, West Java, Wednesday, December 21, confiscated by Antara.

Longosr, who had closed the main access to districts and connecting provinces between sub-districts and villages in the southern region of Cianjur, has been handled.

However, Fatah appealed to road users to remain vigilant when crossing because the road runway was still muddy and slippery when passed. Including the handling of landslide cliffs that have not been carried out optimally.

"We urge motorists who pass along the southern route to remain vigilant and avoid driving when it rains heavily with an intensity of more than two hours," he said.

Regarding the flood management that submerged six villages in Sukanagara District, Fatah said residents had now returned to filling their houses.

"We have also alerted dozens of Disaster Resilient Volunteers (Retana) to carry out surveillance and immediately evacuated residents when they saw natural signs that floods or landslides would occur," he said.
