MALUKU - Basarnas Ternate found a teenager named Ulil Absar (19) who disappeared after swimming at Dorpedu Beach, Ternate, North Maluku. The victim was found floating lifeless.

Head of Ternate Basarnas Fathur Rahman said the victim had been evacuated by the joint SAR team to the Ternate Island Police. The family has taken the body to be taken to the funeral home in Kayu Merah Village.

Fathur said the victim was found on the third day of the search operation. At that time, fishermen found the victim floating in the waters of Jambula.

"The victim was first found by fishermen who were at sea with a coordinate point of 00"44'98 U 127,198,320 E," he said in Ternate, North Maluku (Malut), Wednesday, December 21, as reported by Antara.

Previously, Basarnas Ternate looked for a student named Ulil Absar who was reported to have drowned while bathing at Dorpedu Beach, Ternate City, on December 18, 2022.

At that time, the victim and his campus friends went to Dorpedu Beach to celebrate. There, the victim swam into the middle of the sea.

Due to the big waves, the victim and one of his colleagues Riski M Nur (18 years old) were dragged into the middle of the sea. Riski was rescued, while the victim was being searched.

He said, after receiving a report, a Basarnas team moved to the location to carry out coordination and search for victims.
