Ferdy Sambo In The Eyes Of Forensic Psychologists: Smart And Creative But Can't Control His Emotions If His Self Prices Are Perturbed

JAKARTA - The defendant in the murder of Brigadier J, Ferdy Sambo is considered a smart person. But his intelligence is not directly proportional to his ability to manage emotions.

Psychologist and chairman of the Indonesian Forensic Psychology Association (Apsifor) Reni Kusumowardhani admits that the intelligence of the former Head of the Propam Division at the National Police Headquarters is indeed above average. Ferdy Sambo's way of thinking prefers practical rather than theoretical.

"The ability to abstract the imagination and creativity is very good, in general the way he thinks is more practical than theoretical," explained Reni when presented as an expert in the trial of the alleged murder case of Brigadier J for all defendants at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, December 21.

Ferdy Sambo is also referred to as a hard worker. He is considered to always want to exceed the target given to him.

He is also actually a person who obeys the norms. However, that doesn't mean Ferdy Sambo can't break the rules.

So here's the problem. From the results of the examination using several methods, Ferdy Sambo is considered unable to control emotions properly.

"So that doesn't mean the person concerned is unable to violate the norms and uses his intelligence to protect himself in a situation of urgency," said Reni.

He can be a person who is quasi-emotional if he feels self-esteem or his self-esteem is trampled on.

"So there is an easy self-esteem (or, red) that his self-esteem is disrupted if his honor is disturbed. And then he can become an emotional person who is not controlled, cannot think long about the actions taken," said Reni.
