Evacuation Of 40 Ton-Bobot Tronton Truck Accidents, The Sulawesi Cross Road At The Pontolo Peak Is Closed Until Tomorrow Morning
GORONTALO - A tronton truck loaded with 40 tons of heavy equipment had an oblique road closure in Puncak Pontolo, Kwandang District, North Gorontalo, Gorontalo Province. As a result, the Sulawesi route is completely jammed.
Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasat Lalu) of the North Gorontalo Resort Police (Polres), IPTU Nurmaya Kasim, said that his party had problems evacuating trucks even though they had used cranes.
"The evacuation process has been carried out since 11.00 WITA," he said in Gorontalo, Tuesday, December 20, as reported by Antara.
The crane was deliberately brought in from the North Bolaang Mongondow area, North Sulawesi, to evacuate the tronton truck loaded with 40 tons of heavy equipment.
"However, the tronton truck that closed all roads on the main crossover of the district capital has not been successfully moved," he added.
Trucks from the direction of North Sulawesi, heading to the city of Gorontalo, had an oval when it was about to climb at the Pontolo Peak. Nurmaya suspects that the driver had difficulty crossing the route from below the Pontolo Peak in the form of a sharp bend.
"The sharp load, which if passed by large and wide vehicles, will have difficulties if you do not control the terrain, so that long traffic jams from two directions are unavoidable," he said.
The Traffic Police have also mobilized personnel to carry out engineering to open road closures considering that until Tuesday, December 20 afternoon.
For further evacuation efforts, it is scheduled that the Sulawesi crossing route will be completely closed from 22.00 WITA to 05.00 WITA
"We hope that passers can anticipate this condition so that it does not temporarily cross the Puncak Pontolo route," he said.
