BMKG Ramakan Aceh, Jakarta, NTT Hingga Sulbar Turun Hujan Hari Ini

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that Aceh, DKI Jakarta, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), West Sulawesi (Sulbar), and a number of areas in Indonesia have the potential to experience rain with various intensity from heavy, moderate to light today, Tuesday, December 20.

Citing the BMKG website via Antara, more details are predicted to fall in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, Lampung, West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java and East Nusa Tenggara.

Heavy rains can also fall in areas of West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, West Papua and Papua.

Rain with moderate intensity also has the potential to occur in DKI Jakarta, West Nusa Tenggara, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi.

Meanwhile, BMKG warned that West Sulawesi could experience strong winds.

Several cities can experience heavy rain accompanied by lightning such as Jambi, Pangkal Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Kupang and Medan.

For the DKI Jakarta area, light rain has the potential to occur in South and East Jakarta during the day and West and Central Jakarta in the early hours of this morning. Heavy rain accompanied by lightning can fall in North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands in the early hours of the morning.

BMKG also warned that a number of provinces included in the category of alert for heavy rains such as floods could occur in Aceh, West Java, Central Java, East Java, East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua.
