Police Arrest Fake Rapid Test Candidates At Pasar Senen Station
JAKARTA - The police arrested three brokers who offered fake rapid test results. They were arrested at the Senen Train Station, Central Jakarta, Sunday, December 20 in the early hours of the morning.
"They were secured by a joint officer of the Central Jakarta Metro Police and the Senen Police," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Sunday, December 20.
Yusri said the three brokers were Agus Sukiya, L. Yuliman, Hendra Saptura. They took advantage of a rule that requires train passengers to have proof of being free of COVID-19 before traveling.
"The perpetrator offers a rapid test result without a medical examination and the price is cheap," he said.
The arrests of the three brokers started when there was a report regarding the practice of brokering. So, the report was followed up and managed to catch them.
From this arrest, the police confiscated Rp. 100,000 in cash as evidence. Currently they are being taken to undergo examination.
"The perpetrators are still being examined for development. It is suspected that there are other actors," he said
