Anies Baswedan Has Collaborated To Become His Presidential Candidate, But The NasDem Electability Version Of The SMRC Survey Has Even Dropped
JAKARTA - It turns out that the former Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan has not yet made the electability of the Nasdem Party ahead of the 2024 General Election increase. In the survey results, the survey institute Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) revealed that voter support for the NasDem Party actually decreased from the acquisition of the 2019 Legislative Election with December 2022, 14 months ahead of the 2024 General Election."NasDem is from 9.1 percent, now it is 3.2 percent in December 2022. It has decreased compared to the results (Pemilu) 2019," said SMRC Research Director Deni Irvani in a virtual survey presentation, Sunday, December 18.Deni explained that this survey was taken to coincide with the declaration of Anies Baswedan as a NasDem presidential candidate. Now, NasDem is also starting to work together to introduce Anies as its presidential candidate with political safaris to various provinces in Indonesia. Apparently, at this time Anies has not been able to raise voter support for NasDem."During the (survey) we detected there was a possibility that nasdems would progress, but apparently the increase (electability) from 3.5 percent in August 2022 to 5.4 percent, did not last long," said Deni."After the declaration began, NasDem was quite active in bringing anies baswedan in socialization to various regions, but the impact was, we didn't see anything significant increase in votes on NasDem," he continued. However, Deni continued, this does not mean that NasDem is in danger of failing to qualify for Senayan in the 2024 General Election. Because, currently there are still 20.9 people who have not made their choices based on the SMRC survey. However, based on the conditions of the 2019 election, NasDem's electability increased and passed the legislative election. This shows that NasDem has the potential to increase its electability when the 2024 election campaign period begins."The momentum of the official campaign (2019 Election) is maximally utilized by NasDem. With such a voter atmosphere, NasDem still has a chance, although we can give a warning. However, in the future, we don't know yet, here, can it be like the previous election," explained Deni. For information, this survey was conducted face-to-face on 3-11 December 2022. The population of this survey is all Indonesian citizens who have the right to vote in general elections, namely those who are 17 years old or older, or have been married when the survey was conducted. From that population, 1220 respondents were chosen by random (stratified multistage random sampling). Respondents (respondents who can be interviewed validly) are 1029 or 84%. A total of 1029 respondents were analyzed. The survey margin of error with the sample size is estimated to be ± 3.1 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
