December 20 In History: Elvis Presley Once Turned Down Fans' Wish For The Military

JAKARTA - Exactly today, or December 20, 1957, became a historic day for rock and roll star Elvis Presley. Where while celebrating Christmas in Graceland, United States (US), Elvis Presley received a notification to join the military by entering the Army.

This notification letter reached the ears of its supporters. They also protested the army against the decision. Naturally, the protests were carried out by supporters. Because, currently Elvis is loved by many people, aka his fame.

In fact, Elvis Presley's tens of thousands wrote letters to the army. They asked to suspend the plan. They didn't want Elvis Presley to follow suit. However, their wishes did not seem to bear sweet fruit.
