Gagas 4 Pillars Of The Desmirgative Program, Menaker Involves The Community To Assistance PMI Children's Education

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said the Productive Migrant Village Program (Desmigratif) which was initiated by her party was built through four main pillars to protect Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI).

"Desmigratives are built with four main pillars, namely establishing migration services in villages, developing productive businesses, facilitating the formation of a family development community or community parenting and facilitating the development of cooperatives or village-owned enterprises," Ida said in commemoration of the 2022 International Migrant Day in East Lombok Regency, NTB, Sunday, December 18.

Ida explained, in the first pillar, the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has formed a Migration Service Center in villages for PMI and PMI candidates, so that they can provide job market information services, work guidance, CPMI data verification.

In this service, the fulfillment of documents according to the needs will involve the role of the village government, assistance to PMI families who have problems and data collection on migration of rural communities before working abroad.

Then in the second pillar, the development of productive businesses in Desmigratif, is intended to create an independent and productive society to become entrepreneurs by providing entrepreneurship briefing, developing productive business innovations, utilizing the use of appropriate technology, providing business facilities assistance, business incubation, marketing productive entrepreneurial products through institutional cooperation.

"In addition, the Ministry of Manpower also helps improve village facilities through labor-intensive work and facilitation of voluntary labor assistance, for the ease of public access and efficiency in running the economy in rural areas," he said.

Ida continued, in the third pillar related to facilitation of the establishment of a family development community, the Ministry of Manpower tries to provide knowledge and insight to the Desmigrative community that children's education is not only obtained from their biological parents as an obligation.

Ida emphasized that in addition to biological parents, society is also obliged to care for children regardless of their biological status, especially for PMI children. "The provision of knowledge and insight to the community and the PMI family must be done through the provision of guidance and counseling, provision of financial management guidance," he said.

For PMI children, for example, he said, the community can help by providing reading guidance, writing, calculating, art, sports, healthy or spiritual internet. The Ministry of Manpower itself has also collaborated with LKK-PBNU to create modules related to community parenting for PMI caregivers and children.

Whereas in the last pillar, facilitation of the development of cooperatives and/or business entities, belongs to the village. Ida said, to rebuild the nation's culture, it must go through economic mutual cooperation to provide convenience in accessing business capital, working capital and at the same time protecting PMI from debt bondage by moneylenders or brokers who are very disturbing and undermine the welfare of PMIs.

For information, the Desmigrative Program is a program initiated by the Ministry of Manpower as a concept for handling the pockets of migrant workers in an integrated and integrated manner by involving relevant ministries or institutions to empower, protect, and serve migrant workers and their families starting from the village.
