KPU Determines Ansar-Marlin Winner Of Pilgub Kepri

TANJUNGPINANG - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Riau Islands Province decided the Ansar Ahmad-Marlin Agustina pair as the winner in the election for the governor and deputy governor of Riau Islands through a plenary meeting at the provincial level.

Candidate candidate pair number 03 supported by four political parties (Golkar, NasDem, PPP, and PAN) won 308,553 votes or 39.97 percent.

This pair won in five districts / cities, namely in the capital city of Riau Islands Province, Tanjungpinang City with 49,921 votes out of 92,825 voters who cast votes; in Bintan Regency getting 54,050 votes from 87,095 voters; in Anambas District, it received 12,135 votes 26,502 voters.

Next, in Lingga Regency, there were 26,560 votes from 57,231 voters; in Natuna Regency, there were 18,929 votes from 46,196 voters.

Meanwhile, in Batam City and Karimun Regency, the candidate pairs which were abbreviated as "AMAN" were declared defeated. In Batam they won 110,980 votes from 377,388 voters, while in Karimun they won 49,921 votes out of 113,663 voters.

Member of the KPU Province Kepri Arison said that from the results of the plenary recapitulation, candidate pair number 01 Soerya-Iman won 183,317 votes; candidate pair number 02 Isdianto-Suryani received 280,160 votes; and candidate pair number 03 Ansar-Marlin won 308,553 votes.

Arison said the plenary process went well and there were no hindering problems. According to him, for those who wish to file a lawsuit, space is open 3 days after this plenary.

"A candidate who wants to make an open lawsuit has his room for 3 days after the plenary session is decided," said Arison as quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 19.

Meanwhile, the head of the Ansar-Marlin winning team, Ade Angga, said the results of the plenary meeting were in accordance with the results of the plenary session at the district / city KPU level. His party is ready to face any lawsuit related to the winning result.

"This victory is a victory for the people of Riau Islands. Thank you to the community for providing support to lead Ansar-Marlin to become Governor and Deputy Governor of Riau Islands in the regional elections, December 9, 2020," said Ade Angga.
