Terrorist Upik Lawanga, Aka Udin Bebek, Keeps Firearms, Sharpens And Arrows In The House Bunker
LAMPUNG - Police say the terrorist suspect Upik Lawanga alias Taufik Bulaga lives in a location far from the residents' houses.
"The suspect Upik Lawangga was arrested by the Densus 88 Anti-terror Team on 23 November. His residence is difficult to reach," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Kombes Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 19.
In addition, the house of terrorist suspect Upik Lawanga or better known as Udin Bebek by local residents also lives in front of a large expanse of rice fields. The suspect's house, continued Pandra, is very far from other residents, it is suspected that Upik's activities are not known by the residents there.
Pandra mentions Upik as a seller of ducks and eggs in his daily life and has managed to raise money to buy a house.
"Upik selling the ducks and eggs was finally able to raise money and buy a house with a bunker," he said.
The 2 x 3 meter bunker, said Pandra, was inundated by water as a camouflage so that it would not be discovered.
Previously, a number of pieces of evidence were confiscated by Densus 88 in Upik's arrest, including 8 sharp weapons, one homemade firearm, one wind weapon, an arrow, 13 bullets, and a bunker 2 meters deep.
Upik was the mastermind behind several bomb terror incidents, such as the Tentena Market Bombing, the Maesa Market Bomb, the Poso Gor Bomb, the Central Market Bomb, the Nasi Tengkura Thermos Bomb, the Kawua Flashlight Bomb, and a series of other terrorist acts from 2004 to 2006.
