Uncle Birin Wins In South Kalimantan Regional Election, Cagub Denny Indrayana Sues To MK
BANJARMASIN - The candidate pair for governor-deputy governor of South Kalimantan (South Kalimantan) Denny Indrayana-H Difriadi Derajat filed a lawsuit against the South Kalimantan Pilgub to the Constitutional Court (MK). The KPU recapitulation plenary declared candidate H Sahbirin or Uncle Birin-H Muhidin as the winner of the South Kalimantan Pilgub with a narrow advantage over Denny Indrayana.
Secretary of the Central Kalimantan Gerindra Party, Ilham Noor, prior to the determination of the vote count results of 13 districts / cities at an open plenary meeting, stated that the candidate pair for support from his party Denny-Difri challenged the KPU vote count results to the Constitutional Court.
"Pak Denny Indrayana is already in Jakarta to prepare the material for the lawsuit to the Constitutional Court," said Ilham Noor, quoted by Antara, Friday, December 18. His side, as a witness at the open plenary meeting of the provincial vote recapitulation results, did not sign the vote results set by the provincial KPU. Because there is something at issue, namely the voting process in Banjar Regency.
"Since the recapitulation of the vote count results in Banjar Regency, we have disagreed and we do not want to sign the results, including the provincial level," said Ilham.
According to him, based on the observation of the Denny-Difri winning team in the open plenary meeting, the recapitulation of the vote count results in Banjar Regency was not in accordance with the existing results, both technical and other non-technical results.
"So friends in Banjar Regency asked this matter to be investigated, and they rejected the plenary session," he explained.
From the results of the vote count in Banjar Regency, Denny-Difri lost significantly, despite being superior in the count in 12 other districts / cities.
In Banjar Regency, Denny-Difri lost about 68 thousand votes or only won 37.59 percent, which is around 103 thousand. Meanwhile, Sahbirin-Muhidin won 62.41 percent, that is, around 171 thousand.
The total vote count that has been determined by the South Kalimantan KPU for each pair of candidates, namely the votes of the Sahbirin-Muhidin pair carried out by the Golkar, PAN, PDIP, Nasdem, PKS, PKB, and supported by PSI, PKPI and Perindo as many as 851,822 votes or 50.24 percent.
Meanwhile, the total votes acquired by the Denny-Difri pair carried out by the Gerindra, Democrat and PPP parties were 843,695 votes or 49.76 percent, of the total valid voter ballots on the voting on December 9, 2020, as many as 1,695,517 votes.
