Timah Miners Covered In Landslides Found Dead Wearing Waters
JAKARTA - Darwin (50), a tin miner who was lost in a landslide in Happy Hati Village, Pal 2, Muntok, West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung, was found by the Joint SAR Team. The victim was found dead buried.
Head of the Pangkalpinang Search and Rescue Office, I Made Oka Astawa explained, after a search for several hours, the victim was finally found by the Joint SAR Team on Wednesday afternoon, December 14.
"The victim was found dead buried by a landslide. The victim was found after excavation using heavy equipment," said I Made Oka Astawa when contacted by VOI, Thursday, December 15.
The Joint SAR Team in the search for victims consisted of the Muntok SAR Alert Unit, Muntok BPBD, Muntok Damkar, Polri and the surrounding community.
"After the victim was found, the joint SAR operation was closed. The victim's body had been evacuated to the Muntok Health Center," he said.
Previously, it was reported that a tin miner was reported missing due to being buried by a landslide in Senang Hati Village, Pal 2, Muntok, West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung, Wednesday, December 14.
The incident occurred while the victim was mining lead behind his house. The incident was then reported to the Pangkalpinang Search and Rescue Office.
After receiving the report, Kansar Pangkalpinang went straight to the location to carry out a joint SAR operation.
