Director General Of Oil And Gas Expressing The Tiga Sumur Bor In Andaman II In 2023

JAKARTA - Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tutuka Ariadji, revealed the government's plan for the Andaman Block. In 2023, his party will drill three wells in Andaman II.

"In 2023, it is planned that three wells will be drilled at the location of Halwa and Timpan 2 at Andaman II and Lyaran in South Andaman," he said in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VII DPR RI quoted Wednesday, December 14.

He added that the progress of the Timpan I drilling in Andaman II has been completed and the Andaman II seismic has been carried out covering an area of 3,620 square km.

Furthermore, Tutuka detailed, the total resources of the Andaman area reached 4.86 billion barrels of oil equivalent with details of a disclosure of 260 million barrels of oil equivalent, a prospect of 1.97 billion barrels of oil equivalent, and a lead of 2.63 billion barrels of oil equivalent.

The Andaman III area is managed by Repsol with participation rights of 51 percent and Petronas by 49 percent with a recoverable reserve of 1.89 million barrels of oil equivalent.

"And the South Andaman region is managed by MP 80 percent and Premier or Harbor Energy 20 percent with a restorable reserve of 709 million barrels of oil equivalent which is estimated to be on-stream 2030," concluded Tutuka.
