Feel Physical Improvement Ahead Of The 2022 AFF Cup, Egy Maulana Vikri: The Result Is Good The Words Coach
JAKARTA - Indonesian national team midfielder Egy Maulana Vikri feels his physical condition continues to improve after undergoing a training camp (TC) ahead of the 2022 AFF Cup which will start on December 20.
The national team TC has actually been going on since November 28 at the Bali United Training Center, Purnama Beach, Gianyar, Bali. During the first two weeks, Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong encouraged the Garuda squad with physical training. Exercises often take place twice a day. However, Egy only joined the training last week.
Even though he just joined, Egy said that his physical condition had begun to approach the level of his colleagues who had joined the TC since the first day.
"I got three physical days (training), so it's pretty good. Exercise is very tired because I just got direct (physical training) and all the children here are also physical training. The results are good, said the coach," said Egy, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday.
The player who plays at Slovak side ViOn Zlatee Moravce added that in addition to the physical one that must continue to improve, the players must also be more united in equating the vision of winning the 2022 AFF Cup.
The 22-year-old footballer stressed that all players must put aside their personal egos and must have a strong determination to give all their abilities for the AFF Cup trophy.
"There is no (personal target). So I put the team first. We have to have one goal, as I said earlier. All players must give all their hard work for one common goal, namely the champion in the AFF Cup later," he said.
Indonesia will start the 2022 AFF Cup by facing Cambodia in the Group A match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta on December 23 before meeting Brunei Darussalam (26/12), Thailand (29/12), and the Philippines (2/1/2023).
