Unemployed After Firing The Spanish National Team, Luis Enrique Hopes To Break The Club
JAKARTA - Luis Enrique is currently unemployed. He was just kicked out of the seat of the Spanish national team for failing at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Enrique doesn't seem to want to be unemployed for long. He admitted that he was ready to train again.
However, the former Barcelona coach may not be investigating the national team anymore. Enrique hopes to return to coaching a football club.
"I want to coach, I want to train a club and be able to work in more detail and precision that I haven't been able to do on the national team," Luis Enrique said.
"(But) I will probably wait for next season. This morning I was told I had signed up for a mountain bike race that I would do with my brother."
Luis Enrique was appointed coach of the Spanish national team in 2018. His joint achievement with La Furia Roja was to reach the 2022-21 UEFA Nations League final before being defeated by France with a score of 2-1.
Prior to dealing with the Spanish national team, Luis Enrique had coached Barcelona B, AS Roma, Celta Vigo and Barcelona. During two periods of training Spain.
Spain's U-21 coach Luis de la Fuente was later appointed as Luis Enrique's replacement in the senior national team.
