TANGERANG The Tangerang Metro Police arrested five perpetrators of violent robbery. Of the five perpetrators, one of them is a woman. The mode they do is use a woman to trap her victim.

Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho explained, the robbery took place in Pinang, Tangerang City, Sunday, December 11. Meanwhile, the victim lives in the West Jakarta area.

We arrested five perpetrators on Monday (12 December) at around 15:50. We also secured evidence of a Yamaha Aerox motorcycle and victim's cellphone. One of the perpetrators is a woman with the initials MAL," Zain said in his statement, Tuesday, December 13.

Zain explained that female perpetrators were looking for targets (victims) through social media. After being obtained, the perpetrator asked to meet at the Ciledug Cafe area, Tangerang City.

Arriving at the designated location, the victim was visited by four perpetrators. The victim was accused by the perpetrator of teasing someone's wife.

"Then, the victim was invited and taken to the TKP, namely on Jalan KH Hasyim Ashari, Angke riverside embankment, Sudimara. At that location the victim was immediately beaten by the perpetrators," said Zain.

Four people were beaten, the victim was helpless and lay on the asphalt with injuries on his face. At that time the perpetrators took away the motorbike, iPhone 7 cellphone and Rp800 thousand in cash belonging to the victim.

"For what happened to him, the victim then reported to the Pinang Police, on Sunday, December 11," he said.

Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pinang Police immediately moved to the scene after receiving the report of the incident. After the officers managed to get information from witnesses at the scene, it was found out that the perpetrators were eight people.

In the search for the perpetrators, officers managed to arrest five people, namely MRP (20), EK (20), AMI (25), AW (20) and MAL (19), a woman. The other three perpetrators are still being chased.

"This case is still under further investigation, we have found 3 other suspects with the initials B, C and I are still being chased by officers (DPO), we have found their identities," added Zain.

For their actions, the perpetrators were snared under Article 365 of the Criminal Code or Article 170 of the Criminal Code.
