Body Posture, Tyson Fury's Reason For Making Wayne Rooney Partner To Play Tanding: This Is Serious, Not Guyonan

JAKARTA - World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury explained the reasons for working with former England striker Wayne Rooney in preparation for Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury said Rooney will be his opponent in preparation this time. The plan, the former Manchester United forward will help Fury for four weeks in a training camp.

''I have spoken to Wayne (Rooney) and he is interested. We will bring Wayne in preparation for Usyk. This is serious, not a joke. He will join the training camp for four weeks to help me,''' Fury said.

The Gypsy King made Rooney an opponent in a training match because Rooney's posture was deemed suitable for Fury's need to look at the duel against Usyk.

He (Rooney) is a boxing fan. He also comes from a family who likes boxing. So, I hope, we can do combat training in the future," said Fury.

"I also need a smaller opponent who has a smaller body to face Usyk," continued the 34-year-old boxer.

Currently, Fury is known to be bidding for a duel for a heavyweight boxing title against Usyk, who has the status of the heavyweight world champion versions of IBO, WBA, and IBF. However, there is no certainty about the duel between Fury and Usyk.

Previously, Fury managed to defend the heavyweight boxing championship belt. That was after vaccinating Derek Chisora in early December.

In a duel at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the British boxer managed to win TKO over Chisora.
