Current Situation Of Rizieq Shihab's Liberation Action, The Masses Against But Slowly Begins To Disperse
JAKARTA - The police immediately beat back the masses of the 1812 action demanding the release of FPI Grand Imam Rizieq Shihab in the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta, Friday, December 18.
There was a little friction between the masses and the police. This is because the masses did not accept being disbanded. Moreover, they have not held the action yet.
Not wanting to be outdone, the police lowered their members to beat the masses back. Finally, slowly, the mass of the action dispersed themselves.
"Please, ladies and gentlemen, to disperse. COVID-19 in Jakarta is still high. This is dangerous for health," said Central Jakarta Police Chief Kombes Heru Novianto, Friday, December 18.
The police took steps to disperse the protesters, apart from not pocketing permits while still in the COVID-19 situation. So that any form of crowd is not allowed.
Previously, Polda Metro Jaya emphasized that it would not issue crowd permits related to demonstration action plans from elements of society who are members of the National Anti-Communist Alliance (ANAK) NKRI.
This demonstration demands the release of Rizieq Shihab, who is currently detained in connection with a violation of the health protocol.
A total of 12,500 joint personnel from the TNI-Polri and the Regional Government (Pemda) of DKI Jakarta were deployed to guard the 1812 demonstration around the State Palace, Central Jakarta.
However, 5,000 percentol is derived from the figure. Meanwhile, the remaining 7,500 were alerted to face uncontrollable situations.
Originally, this demonstration demanded the release of Rizieq Shihab, who is currently detained in connection with an alleged case of sedition and violation of health protocols. However, not all officers were immediately deployed.
