Earthquake M 5.3 Goyang Sabang Aceh

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that an earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 5.3 occurred in Sabang, Aceh.

The earthquake shook on Tuesday, December 13 at around 15:38 WIB.

Citing the official BMKG website, the epicenter was located 303 kilometers northwest of Sabang City, Aceh.

Meanwhile, the coordinates of the earthquake were 6.18 North Latitude, 92.60 East Longitude

The earthquake, which has a depth of 53 kilometers, did not cause a tsunami. However, residents affected by the earthquake were asked to be aware of aftershocks.

Until now, the damage and casualties caused by this earthquake are not yet known.
