Set Rp280 Trillion With Profit Rp3.21 Trillion, BSI Proves The Success Of Mergers With Transformation And Collaboration
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) Hery Gunardi said that the transformation and collaboration of all elements is the key to the success of BSI's impressive performance which has not even two years of merger or operation.
He explained that the transformation and collaboration of all these elements succeeded in bringing the company to record an impressive performance until the third quarter of 2022. The company posted a net profit of IDR 3.21 trillion, an increase of 42 percent year on year (yoy) compared to the same period in 2021, which is the best among other Islamic banks in Southeast Asia.
Then, the company recorded assets worth IDR 280 trillion until the third quarter of 2022, up almost 20 percent compared to the company's first reporting post-merging consolidation performance, whose assets were recorded at IDR 234.43 trillion in the first quarter of 2021.
In addition, strong leadership is also the key to the company's impressive performance, which recently Hery Gunardi received The Best CEO in Merger & Acquisition from CNBC Indonesia award for his leadership in the merger process and business development of BSI.
"Alhamdulillah, this award is a joint success of all the teams involved and the extraordinary support from all shareholders, namely Bank Mandiri, BNI, and BRI and Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir who always provide constructive ideas," Hery said in his statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 13.
He said BSI will continue to optimize business opportunities in the Islamic financial ecosystem in order to be able to encourage the company's profit and performance growth in the years to come.
Then, it will also continue the transformation to improve the company's bottomline performance and provide significant added value to shareholders.
He is optimistic that BSI will grow bigger, considering that Indonesia is the country with the largest Muslim population in the world.
In addition, the company's benefits for Indonesia do not stop at paying taxes to the government and dividends to shareholders, but also the reduction of zakat for the people.
