The Explosion In The 2nd Floored House In The Pulogadung Area, Fired Out: Due To An Electric Short Circuit

A fire engulfed a residential area on Jalan Kincir 4, RT 008/010, No 04, Jati Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, Tuesday morning, December 13. The fire was reported to have appeared at around 02.28 WIB.

"After receiving the report, we immediately extinguished the fire at around 03.20. The object that caught fire was a 2-story house with a burning area of 150 square meters," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, Tuesday, December 13.

From the results of data collection and investigations by Gulkarmat officers, the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit.

"Witness testimony, there was a small explosion from the floor due to an electrical short circuit. Suddenly the fire grew and burned the building on the 2nd floor," he said.

As a result of the fire, the owner of the house with the initials AN (80) suffered a loss of Rp. 300 million.

"There were no casualties and injuries as a result of this fire incident. A total of 12 people were saved," he said.

The process of extinguishing the fire was carried out by 8 fire engines by deploying 40 personnel at the fire site.
