Bali Provincial Government Finally Adjusted The Swab Test Requirements For Tourists, Check Here
DENPASAR - The Provincial Government of Bali has made adjustments to the requirements for a PCR-based swab test for tourists who want to go to the Island of the Gods via air transportation. This adjustment is based on the results of the coordination meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
"The meeting, which took place at 14.00 WITA, I need to inform you that the central government has received input from growing opinions in the community, related to the anticipation of a long holiday on Christmas Day and welcoming the New Year amid the COVID-19 pandemic," said the Regional Secretary of the Province of Bali. Dewa Made Indra in Denpasar quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 17.
In a coordination meeting related to Christmas Day and Welcoming the New Year led directly by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan through a "video conference" from Jakarta, followed directly by the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster from the Gajah building, Jayasabha, Denpasar.
From the meeting, it was decided to apply the agreed adjustments with 3 main points, namely First, the provisions on controlling Christmas and New Year Holidays to take effect from 19 December 2020.
"So the Circular Number 2021 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Community Activities During Christmas Holidays and Welcoming the New Year 2021 In the New Era of Life in Bali Province, takes effect on December 19, 2020," said Dewa Indra.
Then, on the adjustment agreement with regard to PCR requirements. Previously, in the Governor's Circular, it was stated that Domestic Travel Actors (PPDN) who traveled by air must show a negative result of the PCR-based swab test, at least 2 x 24 hours (D-2, red) before departure.
At the meeting, it was adjusted to be a maximum of 7 days before the PPDN traveling by air must show a negative result of the PCR-based swab test.
"Third, there are exceptions in this requirement, the exception is for passengers who are 12 years old and under, or under 12 years of age, they are exempted from the PCR test results or the antigen rapid test," he said.
Dewa Indra said that outside the coordination meeting chaired directly by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, on Wednesday, December 16, a meeting was held with Forkominda throughout Bali and the Regional Secretary in Bali by presenting related agencies.
From the meeting, there were a number of things that were considered from the mandatory PCR test, namely passengers on aircraft transiting at Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, then flying out of Bali again, so they were exempted. Furthermore, aircraft crews who do not go down to Bali are also exempted.
"And passengers who come from areas without PCR test facilities are allowed to enter Bali provided that upon entering Bali, the officers will direct the passengers to take the PCR or antigen test," he said.
