Ketua KPK Akrehat, Berantas Korupsi Itu Ternyata Susah

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri realizes that eradicating corruption is not an easy matter. Therefore, the KPK asked all parties to take part in eradicating corruption.

"Indonesia can progress if Indonesia is free from corruption. Indonesia can be smart, if Indonesia is free from corruption. Indonesia can advance public welfare if we all have a spirit of commitment and a united movement to eradicate corruption," Firli said as quoted by Antara, Sunday, December 11.

Firli also said that the spirit and commitment to eradicate corruption is the key to advancing public welfare.

"KPK always realizes that a big role is needed, a big role, from all the nation's children, and all the chambers of power. The legislative power chamber which is dominated by political parties must be free from corrupt practices, the executive power chamber as the state government organizer must be free from corruption, the judiciary chamber must also be free from corruption," said Firli.

He also reminded that corruption is not only a criminal act, but corruption also robs the people of their rights.

"Without realizing it, corruption corruptors rob us of our rights, the rights of our children and grandchildren, and the children of the nation's next generation. Corruption not only violates ethics, but damages the joints of life, both the joints of social life, nation, state, and world," he said.

He said that the 2022 Hakordia activity could have been completed. However, the spirit of eradicating corruption must still be inflamed until Indonesia is free from corrupt practices.

"Say no to corruption. Let's unite to eradicate corruption. Our desire is that one day corruption will no longer exist in Indonesia. Corruption is one of the memories of the past and one day we will live in a world civilization, namely world civilization free from corruption, anti-corruption civilization," said Firli.
