According to the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the ICT industry must reduce gas emissions (GHG) by up to 45 percent between 2020 and 2030 according to the Paris Agreement.

On the other hand, innovation in digital technology plays an important role in working on various opportunities that are beneficial to the digital ecosystem as conveyed by Jason Zhang, CEO of Huawei Cloud Indonesia.

Recently, we launched the Go Cloud, Go Global initiative which will focus on Everything as a Service [XaAS] and the expansion of Huawei's footprint in order to build 1 global network' that will allow services to be accessible in 50-brid seconds globally," he said.

Miao Jun, Account Director of Enterprise Business Group Huawei Indonesia, highlighted specifically one sector that can be a game changer for the digital economy, namely the transportation industry. Indonesia is one of the countries in Asia that has the highest number of airports, namely 673 and 3227 ports.

The future of the transportation industry is becoming increasingly digital, reinforced by artificial and intelligent intelligence. In this case, Huawei has deep knowledge of the landscape of the global transportation industry comprehensively, including with various pilot projects of implementation at Shenzhen airport and Tianjin port, China," Miao Jun said.

According to Lai Chaosen, Vice President, Delivery & Service Huawei Indonesia, to ensure that the network always operates at all times and in all situations, Huawei also focuses on delivery and network assurance to ensure the development of digital infrastructure.

"Recently, Huawei together with other stakeholders and hand in hand operators helped the government ensure a telecommunications network for the G20 Summit grand event," Lai Chaosen said.

In collaboration with more than 150 contractor partners which also involve 5000 partner teams, Huawei has completed the construction of more than 84 thousand sites which includes 115 thousand network elements (NE).

Likewise with the development of digital talent as the foundation of digital transformation, Wang Bin, Vice President, Management Transformation, Huawei Indonesia said that Huawei through the Huawei ASEAN Academy Indonesia platform will continue to encourage the preparation of professional digital talents and suit the needs of industry and technological developments.

"Through three lines, namely the Business Institute, Engineering Institute and the Technical Insitute, Huawei has contributed to preparing more than 71 thousand digital talents in the last two years from the target of 100 thousand digital talents in 5 years," he said.

Not only that, but Huawei is also implementing a comprehensive talent acquisition development plan that includes three pre-recruitment, recruitment, to post-recruitment stages with the aim of building a digital talent development climate, and benefiting the industrial ecosystem in addition to providing high-quality talent for Huawei.

In the midst of the massive and digitalization rate, Syarbeni, Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection Officer, Huawei Indonesia, also sees widespread threats to cybersecurity and data protection that require initiatives and cooperation involving all stakeholders in the digital ecosystem to maximize digital transformation.

Cyberattacks and fraud data are one of the global risks, especially those that need to be watched out for together through collaboration and efforts based on shared responsibility. The need for verification and standardization for device and technology security also plays an important role. For Huawei, cybersecurity is a very crucial case that goes beyond the business itself, "said Syarbeni.
