Former East Java Minister And Deputy Governor Gus Ipul Wins Pilkada Pasuruan
SURABAYA - The pair Saifullah Yusuf-Adi Wibowo (Gus Ipul-Adi) excels in the recapitulation of the KPU votes in Pasuruan City with 67.9 percent. His competitor, Raharto Teno Prasetyo-M Hasjim Asjari, received 32.1 percent of the vote.
"The Gus Ipul-Mas Adi pair received 73,236 votes, while Teno-Hasjim won 34,572 votes," said Pasuruan City KPU chairman Royce Diana Sari as quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 17.
From the recapitulation results it was also stated that the pair number 1, Gus Ipul-Mas Adi won in all sub-districts in Pasuruan City.
In addition, from the results of the recapitulation, it was found that the level of public participation was high, even during the pandemic, reaching 76 percent of the total 146,618 people who were included in the final voter list (DPT).
Meanwhile, after the results of the recapitulation were announced, the KPU was waiting for the constitutional case registration book from the Constitutional Court (MK) which stated that there was no claim as evidence that there was no lawsuit from the Constitutional Court to further form the basis for determining the elected pair.
"Each pair is given three days if they want to prepare a lawsuit to the Court," he said.
Separately confirmed, Gus Ipul said that this victory was a victory for the people of Pasuruan City and proved that the people wanted change.
"It is time for Pasuruan City to go to the city of Medina, which is a developed economy, beautiful city and the harmony of its citizens," said the former Deputy Governor of East Java.
Later, he said, after being declared the winner, Gus Ipul would immediately form a transition team that would synchronize and at the same time arrange the steps for the first 99 days of work.
On December 9, 2020, the Pasuruan City Election was attended by two candidate pairs, namely Saifullah Yusuf-Adi Wibowo with serial number 1 carried out by PKB, Golkar, PKS, PAN, and PPP.
Meanwhile, the pair number 2 is Raharto Teno Prasetyo-M Hasyim Asjari supported by PDI Perjuangan, NasDem, Hanura, and Gerindra.
