Second RekaTalks Edition, Kedaireka Usung Theme Of Collaboration In Creating Green Industry In Indonesia
JAKARTA – Through Kedaireka, the Directorate General of Diktiristek again presented the second edition of the RekaTalks program as part of the Kedaireka Ecosystem which was held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 in Swiss-Belhotel Tuban, Kuta, Bali.Carrying the theme 'Collaboration in Creating Green Industries in Indonesia', this second edition of RekaTalks focuses on discussing the demands of a sustainable and low-emission world. The ministers present at this RekaTalks are I Wayan Budiarta, Kelian, Pengliuran Traditional Village; Agus Yuswanta, Vice President Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero); and Ali Sadikin, CEO of Sub Regional Bali Nusra PT PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero).RekaTalks is a talk show program that explores inspiring stories from Higher Education Personnel (PT) or Industrial Partners who receive Matching Fund Kedaireka assistance funds in 2021-2022. And also present sources from public officials or policy makers.The Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, Prof. Nizam said that the discussion through the RekaTalks program aims to share views on the innovations that have been created and their impact on the public at large.“ This is expected to build trust and create a sustainable relationship based on solving problems that exist in society. We also hope that this event will be able to inspire and ignite the spirit of Higher Education Personnel in creating innovations and collaborations,” said Nizam in a release received by VOI.The demands of a sustainable and low-emission world have given birth to a number of innovations. The industrial world must also be able to meet the demands of a sustainable green industry. Indonesia itself in the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) at the 27th UN climate Conference (COP27) stated that it would increase the target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 31.89% by its own efforts (unconditional), and 43.20% if it received international (conditional) support.Supporting this commitment, the Indonesian government encourages various industrial sectors to start adapting the concept of environmentally friendly in every activity and policy. Starting from the shift in fossil energy to more environmentally friendly energy, the Indonesian government has designed an energy transition plan through the National Energy General Plan (RUEN) since 2017. In this plan, the government targets the national energy mix to reach 23 percent by 2025 and is expected to increase to 31 percent by 2050.The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) has approved the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Diktristek) presenting the Kedaireka platform as the first forum to facilitate innovative collaboration between universities and the industrial world in Indonesia.
