WhatsApp Ends Support For Legacy Android OS And IPhone
JAKARTA - WhatsApp will end its service support on a number of Android and iOS devices with legacy operating systems. This means that the messaging application can no longer be used, unless the user upgrades or switches to a new device.
Launching the Entrepreneur page, Thursday 17 December, smartphones with the iOS 9 or Android 4.0.3 operating system will no longer be able to access WhatsApp in 2021. Because the operating system used is too old or out of date.
At least according to the official WhatsApp page, it recommends users to use the latest versions of the Android and iOS operating systems. Meanwhile, the feature phone will still work on the KaiOS version 2.5.1.
For iPhones that still use iOS 9 and below, such as the iPhone 4 and previous models, they will no longer be able to use WhatsApp. Meanwhile, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6S users must update their OS.

Meanwhile, for Android 4.0.3 or Ice Cream Sandwich version users who no longer have WhatsApp support. However, some Android phones that still use this OS version include the HTC Desire, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Droid Razr, and Samsung Galaxy S2.
