Arrest 4 Students, Other Buru Students Who Were Involved In The Attack On SMKN 3 Semarang

JAKARTA - At least four students of SMKN 10 Semarang City were arrested after allegedly attacking students of SMKN 3 Semarang City with sharp weapons.

Deputy Head of the Semarang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Andriansyah Hasibuan, said the police were still hunting for another student involved in the attack on the fellow student.

"The perpetrator has been identified and is currently still being searched," he said in Semarang, Central Java, Friday, December 9, as reported by Antara.

Those being hunted included the perpetrator who injured a student at SMKN 3 Semarang while waiting for an online motorcycle taxi in front of his school.

"There was one victim who suffered a sharp weapon wound to the back," he added.

The four perpetrators who have been arrested each have the initials MT (17), a resident of Gisikdrono, West Semarang; SAH (18), a resident of Manyaran, West Semarang; RPG (18), a resident of Candisari; and MGR (18), a resident of Peterongan, Semarang City, all of whom are students of SMKN 10 Semarang.

Together with the four perpetrators, a number of sharp weapons and motorbikes were also confiscated which were allegedly used during the attack.

The action allegedly involved students of SMKN 10 alumni who were the provocateurs of the attack.

For these crimes, the perpetrators were subsequently charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution and the Emergency Law for possession of sharp weapons.
