Taking Sides With MSMEs, The Satisfaction Rate To Erick Thohir Vanishes

JAKARTA - The results of the Poltracking Indonesia national survey place Erick Thohir's name as one of the ministers with the best performance. The level of public satisfaction with Erick's performance reached 59.4 percent or the second highest after Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto.

The economy of the Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (Indef) Nailul Huda assesses that this cannot be separated from Erick's commitment to encouraging SOEs to always support MSMEs. Huda said the role of SOEs had a significant impact on the development of MSMEs in recent years.

"Right now, there is quite a lot of capital to target MSMEs. From SOEs, there is also a lot of assistance to improve the performance of MSMEs. We must appreciate this," said Huda in Jakarta, Thursday, December 8.

Huda said Erick also encouraged SOEs to actively form an ecosystem with many parties in strengthening and increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs. Huda said that strengthening the ecosystem had a broad impact on efforts to encourage MSMEs to advance to class.

"This is the result of joint work with the government with the participation of SOEs in the development of relatively high MSMEs," said Huda.

According to Huda, the healthier condition of SOEs is also a factor behind the contribution of SOEs to MSMEs and the opening of employment opportunities.

"The SOEs in the Erick Thohir era are arguably quite effective with an increase in income," said Huda.

He assessed that the improvement in the performance of SOEs came from various breakthroughs made by Erick, one of which was through accelerating transformation and digitization.
