Princess Diana's Emma Corrin Defends Netflix For Warning Labels In The Crown
JAKARTA - Acting Princess Diana in the series The Crown, Emma Corrin defends Netflix's decision not to put a warning label on every episode of The Crown.
Launching her interview with Variety, Emma Corrin said the series The Crown presented dramatization clearly.
"(The Crown) is fiction as people don't mistake Succesion for what really happened to Murdochs," he said. HBO's Succession series is a comedy drama about a fictional media dynasty.
But on the other hand, Emma Corrin understands why the request for a warning label in The Crown is so hotly discussed. According to him, the request was made to protect the Royal Family and Princess Diana's name.
Earlier, Culture Minister Oliver Dowden asked Netflix to give the warning. Princess Diana's sister, Earl Spencer and actress Helena Bonham Carter, who plays Princess Margaret also said the same thing.
But Netflix refused to provide a label because they believe Netflix subscribers understand that The Crown is a work of fiction adapted from real events.
The Crown is an original series from Netflix that tells the story of Royal life. Her fourth season saw Princess Diana enter the British Empire by marrying Prince Charles (played by Josh O'Connor).
