Mahfud MD Says Officials Called Police Don't Panic, Ridwan Kamil: I'm Calm, Relaxed
MATARAM - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil denied the opinion that his statement after being questioned at the West Java Regional Police was a form of panic.
"I am calm, I can't possibly panic. Speaking of it, relax, please my friends (journalists, ed) to interpret it individually," said Ridwan Kamil after attending the peak event of the 62nd Anniversary of West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) in Mataram, quoted by Antara. , Thursday, December 17th.
Ridwan Kamil stated, the most important point of his statement after being questioned at the West Java Regional Police Headquarters, was that justice must be proportional.
"Who is responsible from the beginning to the end, all must get the same rights and obligations before the law. Therefore I do not think it will extend," he said.
Ridwan Kamil emphasized that what was conveyed and what had happened, could be a reminder of how much the Indonesian nation needs productive things to be completed. Especially when the state and state are facing COVID-19.
"Hopefully this will be a reminder of how much this nation needs productive things, especially since we are in a state of COVID-19," he said.
Previously Mahfud MD answered West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil's request to be responsible for the crowd of supporters of Rizieq Shihab.
"Ready, Kang RK. I am responsible. I announce that HRS will be allowed to return to Indonesia because he has the legal right to return home," Mahfud said via his Twitter account @mohmahfudmd which was monitored in Jakarta, Wednesday.
Mahfud also admitted that he announced that HRS could be picked up in an orderly manner and did not violate health protocols.
According to him, the discretion given by the government was limited to picking up and delivering Rizieq Shihab from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Petamburan.
He explained that HRS pickup at Soekarno-Hatta Airport had been running in an orderly manner until HRS arrived in Petamburan in the afternoon.
"However, the event on the evening and the following days that stirred up a crowd, was beyond the discretion I announced," Mahfud said.
