Support Indonesia Gold 2045, Muamalat Contributes Through Sharia Economic Development

JAKARTA PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia through the Muamalat Institute continues to expand its Islamic economic and financial literacy programs in Indonesia. This commitment is demonstrated through collaboration, socialization, and education with educational institutions, from the level of schools to universities.

Director of the Muamalat Institute Anton Hendrianto said that by the end of 2022 his party had reached 14 provinces with a total of 76 agencies and 5659 participants.

"We have a GEULIS Program which is an initiation to support sharia literacy in the country by cooperating with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), National Library and Community Reading Park Forum (TBM) throughout Indonesia," he said in a written statement on Tuesday, December 6.

According to Anton, his party also fully supports the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program launched by the government.

"We have given students the opportunity to internship through the Muamalat Indonesia Competent (MIKO) scheme, which is currently being attended by 11 campuses and 138 students from universities throughout Indonesia," he said.

Anton added, the MIKO Program is an effort by the Muamalat Institute in an effort to create the quality of future human resources that are competent and highly competitive so that they can encourage the growth of the sharia economy and the national halal industry.

The key to improving superior human resources is through collaboration and synergy between various parties to prepare future leaders who are competent. Here we prove it by visiting the Ahmad Dahlan University campus, UPI campus in Bandung, Muhammadiyah Mataram University, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, to Muhammadiyah Riau University," he said.

Furthermore, Anton said that the contribution made by Muamalat is expected to be an important part of economic development in Indonesia, especially from the sharia sector.

"The sooner literacy and education activities related to the sharia economy, the more impact they will have on their future as the nation's successors who excel towards the ideals of Indonesia Gold 2045," he concluded.
