Bogor Regency Government Notes The Lowering Of The Signal Suspension Area, Now 18 Villages Remain

BOGOR - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Bogor, West Java through the Communication and Information Office (Diskominfo) stated that the difficult area for signal or blank spots is now remaining in 18 villages."As of last month after we re-registered, there was a decline in villages which indicated a weak signal, now only 18 villages remain," said Head of Bogor Regency Diskominfo Bayu Ramawanto, in Cibinong, Bogor, Antara, Tuesday, December 6.The reason is, in early 2022 the Bogor Regency Government noted that there are still 35 villages as blank spot areas. Bayu believes that the number of blank spots in the area will continue to decrease. He said the reduction in the blank spot area was the result of the intense efforts of the Bogor Regency Government in coordination with the Telecommunication Tower Infrastructure Developer Association (Aspimtel)."So when the area is weak signal, it doesn't mean there must be a tower in the area, but it could be enough to shift it by a few degrees, the antenna. And that is enough to reduce or become a solution to the weak problem of signaling," said Bayu.According to him, the Bogor Regency Government is also trying to eliminate the digital transformation gap between people in urban areas and villages, by fulfilling the availability of information and communication technology.Bayu menyebutkan bahwa upaya itu dilakukan untuk menjadikan Kabupaten Bogor mampu digital, meski secara geographical wilayahnya terdiri dari gunungan, yang cenderung sulit mendapatkan jaringan internet. One of the steps that have been taken is to install the internet using fiber optics in all sub-districts and free wifi programs at 240 public space points, especially in the blank spot area."Now there are 264 free wifi points spread across various sub-districts. Bogor Regency has 1,615 telecommunication towers with telecommunications arena coverage reaching 91.26 percent," he said.Bayu also said that of the 416 villages in Bogor Regency, 326 of them already have village websites as a means of socializing village information and 186 villages have Community Information Groups (KIM).
